Who is Giza?

Something interesting about the furry fandom is that many of us adopt online personas that we use on MUCKs, chatrooms, etc. Since the fandom is about animals, most of these personas happen to be animals.

Since I like big cats, I decided to pick a leopard as my "fursona". I like leopards because they are solitary, can climb trees, and are the most populus of all of the big cats. They're survivors.

The name of my online leopard character is "Giza". "Giza" is the Swahili word for 'darkness'. I felt that was an appropraite choice, since some meaning of my first name, Douglas, also mean "darkness".

Something that is also common in the furry fandom is to have pictures drawn of your character that you can display online and show to other people. Along those lines, getting custom conbadges is also popular. Those conbadges can then be worn around various furry conventions, to aid other attendees in recognizing you.
